22 Weeks!

22 Weeks

How far along? 22 Weeks
Maternity clothes? Stuff I bought initially is starting to get tight...wow that sucks lol. I thought it was supposed to stretch with me as I grow!
Best moment this week: Sitting and watching TV Baby V was kicking pretty consistently. I figured Nate wouldn't be able to feel it but I told him to try anyway. We waited a minute or two and Nate got to feel the best kick I have felt yet. It actually felt more like a flip or roll! It was a wonderful moment.
Miss anything? A full night of sleep
Movement: Yep :) Getting stronger
Food cravings: Still no cravings
Anything making you queasy or sick: Anything sugary. Can't drink a full smoothie yet either.
Labor signs: Nope
Symptoms: Acid reflux is the most terrible thing...ever.
Belly button in or out? In!
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: Doing our registry

Family Vacation to Helen, GA

We finally got to experience winter and though I was sick, it was a great time. We traveled up to a cabin in Helen, Georgia and it was FREEZING! Pearl came with us and she enjoyed the trip too!

It was a great trip but it really made me appreciate home at the same time. I missed my routine and my bed and most of all, I actually missed the warm weather. After the long drive home, we were pooped, but no one was more pooped than Pearl! I started to wonder where she was while I was cooking dinner, usually in between my feet, and I found her...passed out cold...
 What a cutie!

After that, like a whirlwind, it was already New Years Eve. Every year we spend NYE with our besties, Shawn and Yadi, burning Christmas trees, toasting by a fire (even when it's 80 degrees outside), and setting off fireworks in Shawn's mom's backyard. It's always a great time and we toast to a new year at midnight. This year, my champagne glass was full of water and I realized that this is the year I will become a Mommy. How wonderful! Everything is going to change and I am more than excited about that! Next NYE, I hope to still be continuing our tradition and including Baby V for his first!

Cheers to 2014!

I also made yummy spinach and artichoke dip that was dairy free (made with a cashew cream) and delicious honey soaked chicken and pineapple kebabs. Shawn cooked them up on the grill and they turned out moist and delicious!

Other than that...here's another belly shot! Walking is the new running...or so they say ;)

Cheers!
